This luxurious silk and wool scarf design is from an original painting of the endemic New Zealand Silver Fern Cyathea dealbata by internationally renowned artist Sue Wickison.

This iconic tree fern, also known as ponga, is a symbol commonly associated with the country both overseas and by New Zealanders themselves. The scarf design is an amalgamation of the upper side of the frond, which is green, and the silver underside that is characteristic of the plant. The dark teal colour in the centre of the scarf gives an interesting colour change to the design and accentuates the silver of the ferns. The silver fern can grow to a height of 10 metres and occurs throughout New Zealand.

Sue Wickison is an internationally acclaimed botanical artist and scientific illustrator. Born and raised in Sierra Leone, West Africa, she developed a lifelong passion for plants through the influence of her father who is a teacher, amateur botanist, and artist. She later moved to New Zealand, where she is now based.

After studying Scientific Illustration at Middlesex University, London, she spent nine years as a botanical illustrator at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Renowned for her exquisitely detailed watercolour paintings, Sue combines scientific accuracy with artistic excellence, and her award-winning work is held in prestigious collections around the world.

Your order will be ready the next business day, and our pick up hours are 10AM – 5PM (except Christmas Day).

Shipping costs will be calculated and added at checkout.

Online orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.

Allow 3 - 5 business days for delivery within New Zealand (please allow an extra business day for South Island and Rural addresses).

Once your order has been collected by our courier, you’ll be notified via email and provided a tracking number. All orders/parcels over $30 are labelled as a “signature required” courier service for security purposes.

*Our standard shipping excludes PO Boxes, Waiheke island, Great Barrier island, Chatham island and Stewart island.


INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES

Shipping costs include both postage and handling fee and will be calculated and added at checkout.

All US orders are shipped using DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Service. This means duties and taxes are paid upfront, ensuring a smooth delivery process.
Applicable duties, taxes will be automatically calculated and added at checkout.

If any inspection fees or other unforeseen customs-related charges occur, you will be responsible for these charges. In such cases, we will send you an invoice for payment.
