The beautiful combination of Pounamu and sterling sliver create these stunning koru/spiral disc earrings handmade from Pounamu and recycled sterling silver handcrafted by Nick Feint.
The koru shape is based on the unfurling fern frond symbolising new growth, new life, peace and tranquillity.
Pounamu is the Māori name for greenstone or nephrite jade which is only found in the South Island. It is an extremely tough material and is said to absorb the owners essential spirit, feeding it back to them and enhancing their strength.
Nick works from his studio in beautiful Golden Bay and has been making and creating jewellery for over 25years. His work is created using recycled materials such as up-cycled glass helping to minimise his footprint on the world and run a business in an environmentally and socially sustainable way.
