Rainey Designs was established by husband and wife team Selma and Sean, several years ago.
Based in Ōtautahi -Christchurch, Selma and Sean have continued to hand craft all of their products. They also work with other small businesses and source materials locally wherever possible.

Their recycled ranges are a testament to this ethos. Their design work is constantly evolving, and their pieces carry both interesting stories and the mark of sustainability. These values are important to Selma and Sean and their customers.
Sean and Selma have utilised a variety of recycled elements as the main component of their work. These range from vintage timepieces through to coins from Aotearoa – New Zealand

Nature has been Rainey Designs’ foremost inspiration. Both Selma and Sean agree “the beauty of nature is incomparable”. Natural symbols feature greatly throughout their work through various metals and different forms.
