This beautiful two toned Whanau (Family) Pendant has been carved from beef bone by Kerry Thompson.

The Whanau design has two main components, these overlap each other, symbolizing the coming together of people to become united in family and friendships. There are also other features in this design that can represent different elements that make each family unique, like children and accomplishments.

The Whanau design has two main components, these overlap each other, symbolizing the coming together of people to become united in family and friendships. There are also other features in this design that can represent different elements that make each family unique, like children and accomplishments.

Kerry has been carving for over twenty-five years and has established his position as one of New Zealand’s leading Māori artists. In 1992 he was a jade tutor for the Whangaroa Trust in Kaeo, North of Auckland. 
Kerry works with many materials, including cattle bone, whale bone, mother of pearl, pounamu, wood, silver, semi-precious stones, wood glass and print making.

Allow 3 - 5 business days for delivery within New Zealand (please allow an extra business day for South Island and Rural addresses).

Once your order has been collected by our courier, you’ll be notified via email and provided a tracking number. All orders/parcels are labelled as a “signature required” courier service for security purposes.

*Our standard shipping excludes PO Box, Waiheke island, Great Barrier island, Chatham island and Stewart island.
