Each feather is individually fused in various colours to represent culturally significant New Zealand birds such as the Huia, kākā, Kotuku and Kakapo.
Each feather has been handmade, so there will be slight variations in size.
Kahu Design is an Auckland based studio that specialises in unique hand-made glass pieces intimately connected with nature and NZ heritage. Established by glass artist Te Rongo Kirkwood - Waikato, Taranaki, Te Wai-o-Hua, Te Kawerau, Ngāi Tai ki Tamaki. In a world of mass produced generic, price based production, Kahu Design is inspired by a philosophy of creating meaningful connections through quality handcrafted artwork. Their pieces use symbolism to convey ideas that are important to the New Zealand story.

Store Pick Up allows you to order online and pick up your order in-store, without incurring any delivery fees.
Your order will be ready the next business day, and our pick up hours are 10AM – 5PM Monday to Friday.

Shipping costs will be calculated and added at checkout.
Online orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.
Allow 3 - 5 business days for delivery within New Zealand (please allow an extra business day for South Island and Rural addresses).
Once your order has been collected by our courier, you’ll be notified via email and provided a tracking number. All orders/parcels are labelled as a “signature required” courier service for security purposes.
*Our standard shipping excludes PO Box, Waiheke island, Great Barrier island, Chatham island and Stewart island.
