This beautiful enamel pin designed by New Zealand bird artist Melissa Boardman is inspired by a beautiful but sadly extinct native bird, the huia.
Huia were elegant forest birds, they were part of a group known as wattlebirds that also includes kōkako and saddlebacks. Huia were known for their long distinctive tail feathers and curved beaks - especially the female that inspired this pin.
Pins are ethically produced under a registered ethical certification. They are made using non toxic, high quality materials that will last.
