This elegant silk scarf features a pattern of Egyptian lotus flowers.
The motifs featured on this square powder blue silk scarf have been taken directly from authentic Egyptian artwork, with the colour inspired by the blue lotus flower itself.
The Egyptian blue lotus flower, also known as the Egyptian blue water lily, grew in abundance along the Nile River, and is often found represented in ancient Egyptian art and sculpture. Lotus flowers were linked to the concepts of death and rebirth, due to the petals closing at night and reopening each morning, and were often used for medicinal purposes.
