This Beaker Pot has been handmade by Auckland ceramic artist Suzy Dunser.
The inspiration for this pot came from the pottery of the Bronze Age Beaker People. Most scientists agree that Neolithic farmers were the first people to construct the Stonehenge monument around 3000 BCE. The site was built upon in later phases during the Bronze Age by the Beaker People, a population of people who arrived in Britain around 2500 BCE. These people introduced significant cultural shifts with technology, ideology, and ritual. They are regarded for their creation of distinctive Beaker pottery, funeral practices, and metal working skills.
