Supporting our store supports your Museum
Every purchase you make helps the Auckland Museum look after our treasures and bring history to life.
The items you'll find in our store have been carefully selected to link with our collections, stories and support the museum's role as a war memorial.
Why do we need a store to raise funds?
Our funding comes from Auckland ratepayers, sponsors, donors and our own revenue-generating activities - such as this online store. Every purchase you make online and in-store helps us continue to be a world-class museum and war memorial. It enables us to care for our precious taonga, carry out conservation work, create great exhibitions, deliver educational programmes in our galleries and the wider community. Your purchase also supports important research - the Auckland Museum is New Zealand's oldest research institute.
