This beautiful butterfly fan has been hand-crafted from pandanus by Mary Urinmal of the Malampa Handicraft Centre, Vanuatu.
Mary learnt how to weave from her mother and she makes butterfly fans in her own unique and colourful designs using the new high quality dyes.
She is the only young woman from her village who is earning from weaving fans and her motivation is to support her 3 small children's education.
