These Ahau (me, I) earrings by Nichola, are about the relationships we have with ourselves and our tinana (bodies). Ahau isn’t a collection but a kaupapa (topic/purpose) it is the ongoing conversation of building a good and positive relationship with ourselves. Whatever that looks like for you....
Inspired by her heritage and upbringing as a woman of Māori and Pakeha descent, Nichola Te Kiri creates jewellery, fashion and homewares for her label Nichola. She believes in the importance of mahi- storytelling, through shared stories the taonga of her work comes alive, creating a unique contemporary Māori Design.
Made out of a silver gravograph material and finished with silver plated hooks.
