The theme of this first collection is The Auckland Domain (Pukekawa), a unique place with many sites and stories to inspire creativity.
"I was walking through the Domain while my son sat a Cambridge exam for school. I looked around at the people using the area, thinking back to the things I had gone to there: social soccer games (some in giant blowup bubbles), concerts, light shows and firework displays. We celebrated my son’s first holy communion at the Winter Gardens Café. I have lost count of the times I have taken my children to the museum. We have had family photo shoots under the trees, had Easter egg hunts and have even seen people recreating a battle (with flour). My three sons were all born at Auckland City Hospital. These are just a few connections I personally have to this historically significant land. It led me to wonder about the stories other people had."
